Meat labeling, origin labeling and controls

Safety and quality of food is gaining importance for consumers and for all other players involved in this field.

The major food scandals of the 80s and 90s were lessons learned and within the framework of European legislation, were introduced a whole set of priority rules to fight against the dangers and pollution at all levels of the food chain.

Strict rules for the labeling and the traceability of foodstuff were imposed to guarantee the quality of the value added chain from farmer to wholesale and retail trade.
